Locality: Lake Catherine State Park approximately 10 miles southeast of Hot Springs. Localized to the ridge top of Dam Mountain on the south shore of the southeast arm of the reservior, starting approximately 0.25 miles southwest of the dam. T3S R18W Sec. 35.

Environment description: Dry ridge top. Predominantly on the north facing edge of ridge.

Associated species: Vaccinium arborea, Vaccinium sp., Ulmus alata, Viburnum rufidulum, Quercus rubra, Amelanchier arborea, Carya sp., Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Cercis canadensis, Yucca arkansana, and Quercus marilandica.
Aspect: North
Comment: Greatest distance between plants sampled was 0.33 miles. Seed was quite brown and dry on most plants at the time of sampling with a few plants near peak ripening.
