Environment description: At the edge of Florida scrub habitat. [Likely same habitat as NA 87539, Carya floridana, which was collected at almost the same coordinates: White sand scrub habitat with all of the typical scrub oaks, plus sand pine, Sabal etonia, and Serenoa repens.]
Associated species: Likely identical to NA 87539, collected at the same site; Quercus spp. ("typical scrub oaks"); Pinus clausa ("sand pine"); Sabal etonia; Serenoa repens; Carya floridana (inferred from NA 87539).
Comment: Seed collected. Photographs of the plant in situ were posted by the collector at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/34225910.
