Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: At the edge of Florida scrub habitat. White sand scrub habitat with all of the typical scrub oaks, plus sand pine, Sabal etonia, and Serenoa repens.
Associated species: Quercus spp. ("typical scrub oaks"), probably including Q. myrtifolia (see NA 87542); Pinus clausa ("sand pine"); Sabal etonia; Serenoa repens.
Comment: Description: A surprising amount of fruit morphological variation in this population. All plants were shrubs and not trees. Maybe this is normal for this species.
