Donor narrative: Collected Winter 2018 in Mastuj Tehsil, Chitral District, Pakistan. Type: Landrace. Purpose: Dry-sieved charas (‘hashish’); bhang (seeded inflorescence and leaf for food and drink); culinary seed.

Narrative: Seeds of a charas landrace collected in Chitral District at the junction of the Yarkhun and Laspur valleys. Prior to the 1970s, large-scale commercial cultivation of charas was widespread in these valleys of Upper Chitral. In recent decades, eradication campaigns have reduced cultivation to small household plots for personal use. Broad-leafleted plants with morphology that mostly conforms to western notions of a classic Indica. Some accessions from Chitral can show broad-leafleted individuals that substantially exceed two metres in height.” [Donor describes this accession as a charas landrace, see:] REMARKS
