Environment description: Edges of woods/roadsides. Localized to west and southeast facing slopes.

Associated species: Oenothera fruticosa subsp. glauca, Lobelia spicata, Helianthus divaricatus, Rosa carolina, Liriodendron tulipifera, Cercis canadensis, Pinus virginiana, Lonicera japonica, Phlox glaberrima subsp. triflora, and Magnolia acuminata.

Comment: Two areas sampled separated by approximately 1,000 yards with one area (west-facing) estimated at 10 genets scattered across 150 yards and the other area (southeast-facing) estimated at 10 genets scattered across 225 yards. Narrative
Plants measuring 12-18" in height. Spreading vegetatively via rhizomes. Most specimens had pale pink flowers with some having white flowers. Peak flowering at collection site occurred near 29th of May (2023).
