Associated species: Fraxinus biltmoreana, Cercis canadensis, Asimina triloba, Quercus montana, Carya ovata, Ostrya virginiana, Tilia americana, Lindera benzoin, and Ulmus rubra.

Comment: Sampled during initial stages of fruit maturation. Fruits dropping readily, but more abundant green fruits persisting in canopy. Population estimated at 1,000 specimens. Locally abundant in moist woods at mid and base of slopes. Coordinates provided for first tree vouchered. Coordinates for all trees sampled may be provided upon request.
