Environment description: Edge of stagnant swamp along road. Soils rather mucky/heavy clay.
Number of plants sampled: 3
Associated species: Fraxinus sp., Taxodium distichum, Salix nigra, Acer rubrum, Ulmus americana, Cornus foemina, Cephalanthus occidentalis, and Vitis riparia
Comment: Species rare in area. Only noted approximately six other genets. Other genet sampled (#2) vegetatively (sucker) located in T6N R6E NE 1/4 Sec. 25 approximately 0.65 miles east. Fruits at time of sampling were rather tight and green estimated a few days prior to reaching maturity. Coordinates provided refer to specimen #1 sampled vegetatively and as seeds. Coordinates for the other genet sampled (vegetatively) may be provided upon request.
