Narrative
Full name as recorded at U.S. National Arboretum: Leycesteria crocothyrsos. Received with (incorrect) number NA 1265, presumed to be a National Arboretum accession, but that isn't the case; it was considered to have been received from either Glenn Dale or possibly Beltsville. Now thought now to possibly be PI-242345, field collection number 5412, which was collected from the Royal Botanical Garden, Edinburgh by F. G. Meyer in 1957, but even that is uncertain.
