Narrative
Full name as recorded at U.S. National Arboretum: Buxus 'Vera Green'. Ed Cobb dug up a plant of his 'Vera Green' (name in question, and material may be Buxus 'Wilson' NORTHERN CHARM - read on for notes on this); this material should theoretically be the same as NA 82662, which was received earlier as cuttings. Notes from the record of NA 82662: "Acquired for Buxus genetic diversity and relatedness SSR study. [The study results show this to be a hybrid between B. sinica var. insularis and B. sempervirens, and nearly 100% identical to Buxus 'Wilson' NORTHERN CHARM (NA 82606); it is all but certain to be indistinguishable from that cultivar, but its morphology should be compared and its background checked in light of the new information before making a final assessment. -SBL]"
