Narrative
Full name as recorded at U.S. National Arboretum: Juniperus horizontalis. In training since 1952; created by John Naka, later sold, and given to Lynn Porter as a gift by her then-husband, Sydney Porter, Jr.; she became a student of Chase Rosade, who cared for the bonsai off and on in the years that followed. It was eventually repotted into a Gorden Duffet pot by C. F. Rosade, who brought it back to health after the plant nearly died, and donated it after its owner passed away in 2011.
