Environment description: Mixed evergreen and deciduous ridge community. Extensive Quercus arkansana along the sandy, well-drained bluff top to 30 feet down rich, mesic slope.

Associated species: Callicarpa americana; Ilex opaca; Ilex vomitoria; Pinus clausa; Quercus laevis; Quercus geminata; Quercus hemisphaerica; Quercus nigra; Symplocos tinctoria; Vaccinium spp.; Smilax sp.
Comment: Multi- to single-trunked small trees, 4 feet to 15 feet in height. Extensive, vibrant population of Q. arkansana. Acorns collected off of 5 trees.
