Description of plants sampled in nature: Upright, branching shrubs with few basal stems/ramets; to1.5 m in height and 1.5 to 2 cm basal diameter; bark grayish-brown to coppery and exfoliating with age; leaves blue-green and narrowly ovate to oblong; capsules 5-angled/ribbed, yellowish-green, typically 3 but up to to 15 per dichasium.
