Full name as recorded at U.S. National Arboretum: Prunus pumila var. depressa 'Gus Mehlquist'. Plants rooted from cuttings of individual AA 727-90*L, propagated in May 2022. Per the transmitted description, this selection is described as a "sprawling sand cherry that reaches a height of only 12 inches and is an extremely adaptable woody groundcover. With ornamental foliage, flowers, fruit, and form, it is a standout during all four seasons." Distributed under the Arnold Selects program. Form received: rooted cutting.
