Environment description: Floodplain and riverbanks, growing in gravely soil.
Number of plants sampled: 3
Associated species: Acer negundo (common), Alnus oblongifolia, Fraxinus anomala (one plant), Juniperus deppeana, Pinus ponderosa, Platanus wrightii (dominant), Ptelea trifoliata, Quercus sp., Rhus glabra, Rubus armeniacus (understory dominant), Salix gooddingii and Toxicodendron rydbergii.

Comment: Fairly common in localized pockets along the banks of Oak Creek. Seed was quite green at the time of collection on most specimens with peak ripening likely three weeks off.
