Environment description: South edge of fire break. Flat meadow with small scattered trees.
Associated species: Ptelea trifoliata; Carya tomentosa; Chionanthus virginicus; Solidago sp.; Helianthus divaricatus; Amelanchier sp.
Comment: Acorns collected, small and green. Entire ridge top was Quercus stellata and Q. acerifolia. No other red oak group species found near this collection.
