Narrative
ShowMeSoy 4301 is a conventional early maturity group IV soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] cultivar released by the University of Missouri - Fisher Delta Research Center in 2019. ShowMeSoy 4301 shows an indeterminate growth habit with an average height of 87 cm and lodging score of 2.4. Plants of ShowMeSoy 4301 exhibit white flowers, tawny pubescence, and tan pod wall. Seeds of ShowMeSoy 4301 has black hilum, intermediate luster, and a 100-seed weight of 16g with 234.9 and 402.4 k/kg of seed oil and protein concentrations, respectively. ShowMeSoy 4301 is resistant to charcoal rot (Macrophomina phaseolina Tassi Goid), frogeye leaf spot (Cercospora sojina Hara), stem canker (Diaporthe aspalathi Jansen, Castlebury & Crous), sudden death syndrome (Fusarium virguliforme O’Donell & T. Aoki), southern root-knot nematode [Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White) Chitwood], reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis Linford & Oliveira), and moderately resistant to soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines Ichinohe). It is also tolerant to salinity. ShowMeSoy was extensively tested in a total of 150 environments across 13 states including Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia during 2014 to 2019.

Description:
ShowMeSoy 4301 originated from the cross ‘S08-17361’ x ‘S05-11482’. The female parent S08-17361 is an indeterminate mid-group V non-genetically modified soybean breeding line developed at the University of Missouri – Fisher Delta Research Center (MU-FDRC). S08-17361 contains 396 g kg-1 of seed protein and 219 g kg-1 of seed oil contents on a dry weight basis. In addition, S08-17361 is resistant to stem canker (Diaporthe aspalathi Jansen, Castlebury & Crous) (SC) and moderately resistant to frogeye leaf spot (Cercospora sojina Hara). The male parent S05-11482 is a determinate early-group V non-genetically modified soybean breeding line developed at the MU-FDRC. S05-11482 is resistant to reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis Linford & Oliveira) and southern root-knot nematode [Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White) Chitwood] and moderately resistant to soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines Ichinohe) races 1 (HG type 2.5.7), 2 (HG type 1.2.5.7), 3 (HG type 5.7), 5 (HG type 2.5.7), and 14 (HG type 1.3.5.6.7), SC, and sudden death syndrome (Fusarium virguliforme O’Donell & T. Aoki).
