Environment description: Grassy upland meadow in full sun. Open meadow area area near stream, deep, coarse alluvial soil.
Number of plants sampled: 50
Associated species: Potentilla sp., Salix sp., and Symphoricarpos occidentalis.

Comment: Seed persistent from last season. Seed collected from numerous plants, fruits old and persistent. Population of approximately 5,000+ plants. Seeds sampled from approximately a square meter area in ten different locations in the population. Many pines here killed & removed due to mountain pine beetle.
