Locality: Ft. Davis. On 166 that skirts W side of Davis Mountains. About 8 miles SW of the fork with 118 at highest elevation point (H-O) pass with rock outcroppings just off both sides of the road, and with W aspect looking like books on a shelf. Among rocks on both sides of the road.

Environment description: No trees, but in gentle slopes under protection of huge boulders, sometimes also under small brush, among grasses and other herbs.
