Narrative
Seeds were collected for conservations by the Tallgrass Prairie Center, Plant Materials Program, at the University of Northern Iowa, and germinated there from original collector's seed in March 2021. On July 2, 2021, 25 live seedlings were delivered in Ames, Iowa by Laura Fischer Walter and later transplanted into a field at the North Central Regional Plant Introduction Station for seed production.
