Comment: Species occasional, with patchy distribution. Multi-stemmed, suckering shrub (height 8 ft, spread 10 ft); bark brown, smooth, obvious lenticels; leaves narrowly oblong, serrulate at margins, dark green; fruits female cone/catkin, solitary, small (2 x 1-2 cm) positioned in the leaf axil above the branch.
