Environment description: The paved road was sided by low, wet ditches where Coreopsis nudata was quite abundant. The habitat is wet, peaty, sandy soil. These seem more common along roads built up that create a low-drainage ditch adjacent to them.

Associated species: The site is bordered by pine stands. Other species in the site include Lophiola aurea, Aletris lutea, and Eriocaulon decangulare.
