Environment description: Steep bank along road
Comment: Evergreen tree, branched low to the ground making a shrubby form. Leaves to 8", leathery, dark green, tip acute, base broadly acute to obtuse to near truncate, petiole 1.5" with swollen base; blackish stems. Seed held on 6"-8" stalks, seed 1/2"-3/4" round with cap covering ~ 1/5 of the nut.
