Comment: Shrub/tree; height 25 ft; DBH 6 cm; bark gray-brown to black, corky and forming rectangular plates; leaves ovate, elliptic, or obovate (base cuneate to rounded, apex abruptly acuminate), abaxial surfaces whitish, appressed-hairy with tufts of erect hairs present in axils of secondary veins, adaxial surfaces dark green and appressed-hairy with 5 to 7 secondary veins per side; flowers not present; drupes red, 15 mm by 8 mm.
