Comment: Tree; height 80 ft; DBH 68.3 cm; bark red to gray-brown, scaly near base and exfoliating on upper trunk, exposing white or cream; leaves shallowly lobed (basal lobes usually smaller, apex usually acuminate); abaxially often persistently tomentose along veins, adaxially glabrate; margins entire to coarsely serrate; 10 to 15 cm by 10 cm; flowers not present; fruit green, brown, 4 to 6 cm, round; achene 7 to 10 mm. Lower bole covered with Campsis radicans, checkered exfoliating around approximately 40 [cm?].
