Locality: Ankang District; ; 10 to 15 km southeast of Langao along Lan He (River).
Coordinates: 32.2641, 108.9787 (Map it)
Elevation: 570m.
Environment description: Steep, north-facing hillsides along road above the Lan He (River) in rocky well-drained soils.
Associated species: Vernicia fordii:Rhus potaninii:Rosa sp.
Aspect:
Comment: Multi-stemmed, semi-evergreen shrubs with arching stems and coarse branching; plants range from 1.5 to 3 m tall; leaves are long-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate and 10 to 20 cm long.
