Comment: Columnar, single-trunked tree (height 16 m, spread 5 m, DBH 46.1 cm) with drooping branches; bark colored red beneath gray plates; leaves scales ranging from deep green, slightly glaucous to yellow-green, with piney scent; cone globular, green-blue, glaucous.

Recently logged area with C. lawsoniana and P. menziesii left in place. C. lawsoniana marked with yellow paint, presumably to be saved. 200 seeds collected from two individuals. Species occasional, with patchy distribution.
