Comment: Small multi-stemmed tree. Height 10 ft, DBH of largest stem 3 in. Bark corky, grey and charcoal. Leaves palmate, five narrow leaflets. Fruits: one to three seeds per capsule, brown, some obviously spiny, others less so.
