Comment: Small multi-stemmed tree with ovoid crown. Height 10 m, DBH 15 cm. Bark smooth, gray. Leaves to 15 cm long and 10 cm wide, cordate at base, green-gray, matte above, whitish-gray beneath, with reddish veins. Fruit: capsules hirsute, green, in terminal thyrses.
