Comment: Medium-sized tree with rounded crown. Height 10 m, DBH 25 cm. Bark gray-brown, roughly ridged, furrowed. Leaves odd-pinnately compound, to 30 cm long; leaflets medium green, to 10 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, with black walnut fragrance. Fruit: nutlets in distinctive cone-like fruiting spike.
