Environment description: At base of rock outcropping on very steep mountainside along road. Growing in humus-rich soil over rocks. Slope: 80 degrees. Aspect: Southeast.

Comment: Description: Small tree with spreading branches and vase-shaped habit. Height 7 m, DBH 10 cm. Bark gray-brown, with white striations; "snakebark". Leaves 7.5 cm long and 5 cm wide, 3-lobed, central lobe prominent, deep green, glossy above, pale beneath. Samaras green, tinged pink, in pendent racemes. Seeds and four herbarium specimens collected from one plant. Photographed.
