Environment description: On gravel road in very rich mesophytic forest. Growing in moss-covered, humus-rich soil over rocky clay.

Comment: Loosely vase-shaped shrub with ascending branches. Height 2 m, DBH 2.5 cm. Bark gray-tan, with faint lenticels. Leaves arrow-shaped, 7.5 to 12.5 cm long and 2.5 to 7.5 cm wide, coarsely toothed, deep green, matte above, pale beneath. Fruit orange, in loose cymes.
