Environment description: Growing as chasmophyte on vertical cliff face next to road. Growing in rock crevices.

Aspect: ; Soil Texture:
Comment: Small vase-shaped tree, as tall as wide. Height 7 m, DBH 15 cm. Bark gray with tan furrows. Leaves green, ovate to elliptical, 2.5 to 7.5 cm long and 2 to 5 cm wide, with many pairs of veins, serrulate at margin. Fruit: nutlets on pendent peduncles, with bracts smaller than those in C. viminea, embracing their nutlets.
