Environment description: Disturbed area between road and small stream. Below cliff. Partially cut over and replanted with Cunninghamia, Cryptomeria. Growing in Rocky humus, talus mixed with humus.

Aspect: ; Soil Texture:
Comment: Tree with spreading branches and rounded crown. Height 15 m, DBH 20 cm. Bark smooth, dark gray. Leaves simple, medium green, toothed, acuminate at tip. Fruit: capsule pendent, 0.5 cm long and 1 cm wide, gray, fuzzy.
