Comment: Shrub. Height 5 m. Red twigs, older bark tan and smooth. Leaves alternate, obovate, finely serrate, cuneate base, red petioles, 3 cm long x 2 cm wide. Infructescences racemes of reddish capsules, each one approximately 5 mm long.
