Locality: Hokkaido Prefecture, Hidaka Subprefecture; Hidaka District [originally listed as Shizunai]; Hokkaido University Agriculture Research Farm. [Town/district originally listed as Shizunai; following a merger with Mitsuishi the town is now known as Shinhidaka, and is in the newly created Hidaka District, which is comprised of former Shizunai District and Mistsuishi District.]

Environment description: Hillside, climbing Alnus japonica in dense shade. Found just off road leading into forest. Growing in rocky loam soil.
