Locality: Astara District (Rayon); ; Northwest of Astara. Sacred site with a mausoleum on the top of the ridge and cemetery below. This plant inside the boxwood forest near the sacred site with a water vessel and miraculous spring.

Environment description: Large boxwood forest.
Comment: A tree with single trunk but numerous broken branches preclude description of the growth habit. Leaves exceptionally large, wide, with prominently wavy margins, lightly colored.
