Environment description: Recently reclaimed scrubby woods near trailhead, grazed by horses and donkeys. Soil gravelly, with organic matter; likely had been field soil, somewhat mucky.

Comment: Two-stemmed tree rising from same spot; looks to have been cut previously. Height 8 m, DBH 12 cm. Bark smooth, gray, with white patches. Leaves: five needles per fascicle, each 10 cm long. Cones ovoid, 9 cm x 4 cm and green; still closed (mostly), though a few scales had opened.
