Environment description: Scrubby hillside likely cleared 15-20 yrs ago, adjacent cultivated fields and above the Pingson Road and Fu River. Soil gravelly, with organic matter; likely had been field soil.

Comment: Multi-stemmed trees, horizontal branching. Height 10 m, DBH 18 cm. Older bark greenish with white markings; new bark red on upper and green on lower parts of branches. Leaves alternate, ovate, entire to undulate, length 7 cm, width 4 cm; petioles 2.5 cm. Fruit round and blue/black in color, 8 mm; stalks coral pink to red.
