Comment: Arcing shrub/tree; height 3.5 m, DBH 10 cm. Bark smooth, gray. Leaves elliptic and finely serrate, length 6 cm, width 2.5 cm, hairy on abaxial side, turning red to orange; petioles 1 cm. Fruit: capsules, 6 mm, borne on pendulous to horizontal stalks, but still held upright.
