Environment description: More open area not far from collection number 020; grove of numerous mature and seedling Cercidiphyllum. Soil gravelly, but also with an orange, clayey mineral soil; organic much [muck?].
Associated species: Acer davidii:Pterocarya macroptera:Hydrangea bretschneideri:Buddleja sp.:Meliosma sp.:Viburnum erubescens
Aspect: ; Slope: 30 Degrees
Comment: Most trees multistemmed, bearing leaves with great yellow fall color. Height 18 m, DBH 110 cm. Bark gray-brown with large furrows. Leaves on short-shoot spurs, 8 cm long and 10 cm wide, green but starting to turn yellow; some juvenile long shoots found. Fruit: green follicles, 1.75 cm long, curved.
