Locality: Pingwu County; Si Er; Pao Zi Gou. Near intersection of road to power plant nd Pao Zi Gou, edge of unnamed river.
Coordinates: 32.3136, 104.0468 (Map it)
Elevation: 1685m.
Environment description: Edge of river, growing out of the cliff about five meters above the water. Soil gravelly, with some organic matter A-horizon.

Aspect:
Comment: Upright tree; height 11 m, DBH 16 cm. Bark smooth, gray. Leaves dark green, serrate to serrulate, lanceolate to ovate, 5 cm long by 2.5 cm wide, with 13 to 16 pairs of veins; petiole 2 cm. Fruit bracts unequal in size, 17 mm x 7 mm, serrate edges but no lobes; nutlet smooth.
