Locality: On southern side of Kutaisi-Baghdata-Abastumani-Benara Road, 1.2 kilometers east of intersection with Vartsikhe-Rohki Road. One air kilometer north of Khanistskali River and ca 2.5 air kilometers east of Vartsikhe.

Environment description: In understory of closed Zelkova carpinifolia woodland. Flat ground, shade. Growing in dark, moist soil.
Associated species: Zelkova carpinifolia
Slope: Flat Ground.
Comment: Low, evergreen shrub, ca 60 cm in height. Leaves and stems green.
