S13-2743C is an early-maturity group IV non-GMO soybean [Glycine max (L)]. S13-2743C has a relative maturity of 4.1 with indeterminate growth habit, white flowers, grey pubescence, and brown pod walls at maturity. Plants of S13-2743C have on average 96 cm height and demonstrated minimal lodging in the field. Seeds of S13-2743C have buff hilum, intermediate luster, and an average seed weight of 14.6g per 100 seeds. S13-2743C has high oil content (238.4 g kg-1) and broad disease resistance package, including resistance to soybean cyst nematode [Heterodera glycines Ichinohe] race 3, phytophthora root rot [Phytophthora sojae], stem canker [Diaporthe aspalath], sudden death syndrome [Fusarium virguliforme] and frogeye leaf spot [Cercospora sojina Hara]. S13-2743C was tested in a total of 103 environments across nine states (Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Missouri) from 2014 to 2018, and showed high-yield potential and broad adaptability.

S13-2743C was derived from the cross 'LS07-3125' (Female) x 'S05-11400' (Male). LS07-3125 is an early maturity group 4, non-GMO line and was derived from the cross 'S98-7851' x 'LD00-3309'. S98-7851 was derived from the cross Pioneer 'P9362' x 'Magellan' while LD00-3309 was from 'Dwight' x 'Maverick'. Male parent S05-11400 is an early maturity group 5 non-GMO line developed from 'Stoddard' x 'S98-3403'.
