Narrative
Aquatic Perrenial. Leaves emergent , distichous, with sheathing base and long linear, parrallel-veined, often spongy blade; 4 - 12 mm wide. Achene fusiform, sorrid brown. Beak 2/3 as long as fruit. Grows in mud or shallow water in ponds and swamps.
