Environment description: Forested hillsides at bottom of canyon along stream.

Associated species: Carya ovata, Vitis riparia, H. arborescens subsp. discolor, Tsuga canadensis
Comment: A large population, approximately 100 genotypes along a 1,200 foot strech of the trail. Locally abundant. Collections made from 18 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 34.843546 deg. N to 34.858603 deg. N and longitude 85.478013 deg. W to 85.482301 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86199.01/acc. 1257, the first plant sampled in the population. GPS coordinates for each sampled plant are available upon request.
