Locality: River Bluff Recreation Area, Quitman County. Adjacent to Walter F. George Reservoir (eastern edge), across from Eufaula and approximately 0.9 miles north of Georgetown.

Environment description: Shady bluffs adjacent to reservoir.
Number of plants sampled: 4
Associated species: Magnolia grandiflora, Quercus michauxii, Vitis riparia, Sabal palmetto, Fagus grandifolia.
Comment: Locally abundant, but restricted to bluffs. Approximately 20 - 50 genotypes within 10 acres. Collections made from 4 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 31.896273 deg. N to 31.898457 deg. N and longitude 85.108827 deg. W to 85.109118 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86179.01/acc. 513, the first plant sampled in the population.
