Comment: Small population, approximately 5 genotypes within 0.1 acres. Collections made from 13 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 30.724912 deg. N to 30.724919 deg. N and longitude 85.530550 deg. W to 85.530564 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86178.01/acc. 461, the first plant sampled in the population.

These were the largest Hydrangea quercifolia observed out of 75 populations throughout the species' native range. Measurements of sampled specimens taken in nature: Height 97 and 192 (or more) in., width 133 and 192 (or more) in., for NA 86178.01 and 86178.02, respectively.
