Environment description: Small ravines and streambanks in shady understory.
Number of plants sampled: 2
Associated species: Magnolia grandflora, Liriodendron tulipifera, Acer rubrum, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Smilax sp., Vitis riparia.
Comment: A fairly small population (10-20 genotypes), with most of the plants in the juvenile stage. Collections made from 2 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 30.822157 deg. N to 30.825829 deg. N and longitude 91.26409 deg. W to 91.265482 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86174.01/acc. 361, the first plant sampled in the population.
