Environment description: Steep slopes on mountainside, steep roadsides, ravines.
Number of plants sampled: 21
Associated species: Quercus rubra, Fothergilla gardenii, Cercis canadensis, Pinus sp., Carya sp.
Comment: Large continuous population with clonal spreading. Likely 100 - 500 genotypes noted, depending on extent of clonality. Highest plant density is near campground (slope near 0). Plants were sampled from hillsides along road (slope 20 degrees) and from mountainside (slope 40 degrees) along Little Mountain Trail. Collections made from 21 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 33.414678 deg. N to 33.417359 deg. N and longitude 89.260052 deg. W to 89.26979 deg. W (approximately 33 acres). The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86164.01/acc. 195, the first plant sampled in the population. GPS coordinates of each individual sampled may be provided upon request (NA 86164.01 through 86164.21).
