Locality: Oak Mountain State Park, Shelby County. Approximately 12.5 miles south-southeast of Birmingham. Growing along White Trail, closest access is North Trailhead (0.5 mi south of Oak Mountain Lake, along Oak Mountain Park Rd).

Comment: Widely scattered population in understory. Less than 50 genotypes within 0.7 square miles. Collections made from 12 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 33.313908 deg. N to 33.356845 deg. N and longitude 86.704613 deg. W to 86.769586 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86155.01/acc. 53, the first plant sampled in the population. GPS coordinates for each sampled specimen are available upon request (NA 86155.01 through 86155.12).
